AI for Marketing & Content

Captions, calendars, and ad copy that sound like you. The trick is not a better tool, it is giving the tool something to copy.

45 minutes Beginner friendly Works with any AI tool
Section 1 / What You'll Get

Content that does not read like a robot wrote it

Most people try AI for marketing, get something bland, and quietly go back to doing it by hand. The problem is almost never the tool. It is that the tool was never told who you are.

1

A voice brief

One block of text you paste at the start of every session so the output already sounds like your brand.

2

Twelve prompts

Captions, hooks, ad copy, emails, repurposing. Fill in the brackets and send.

3

A two week calendar

A repeatable process that turns one idea into ten posts without ten hours of work.

You will finish this module with: a saved voice brief and a two week content calendar draft you can start posting from.
Section 2 / Start Here

Build your voice brief first

This is the single highest value thing in the module. Write it once, paste it at the top of every AI chat, and everything downstream improves. It takes about ten minutes.

Answer these six questions in plain words. Do not polish it. Bullet points are fine.

1

Who are you talking to

One real person, not a demographic. "Solo restaurant owners who do their own marketing at 11pm."

2

What do you actually sell

The outcome, not the deliverable. "More repeat bookings," not "social media management."

3

How do you sound

Three adjectives, plus one you are not. "Direct, warm, practical. Never corporate."

4

Words you use

Phrases that are yours. Product names, the way you describe the problem, your usual sign off.

5

Words you never use

Your banned list. "Unlock, elevate, game changer, in today's fast paced world, dive in."

6

Three real examples

Paste three things you actually wrote and were happy with. This does more than the other five combined.

Save it: keep the brief in a note called "My Voice Brief." Paste it at the top of a new chat and write "Use this voice for everything in this conversation. Confirm you have it, then wait for my request."
Section 3 / The Plain Truth

Why AI content sounds generic

AI writes the most average version of whatever you asked for, because average is what it was trained on. If your prompt is "write an Instagram caption about our new service," the most average answer in the world is exactly what you get.

You fix it with three things: context about you, a real example to copy, and a constraint that rules out the safe answer. Miss any one of them and you are back to filler.

Weak prompt

"Write an Instagram caption about our new coaching program."

Strong prompt

"Using my voice brief above, write 3 Instagram captions for our new coaching program. Audience: freelancers who keep undercharging. Each caption opens with a specific moment, not a question. Under 60 words. No emojis. Do not use the words unlock, elevate, or journey. End with: DM me the word RATES."

What most people get wrong: they ask for one version. Always ask for three and pick. The second or third is usually the one worth posting.
Section 4 / The Prompts

Twelve prompts you will actually reuse

Paste your voice brief first, then any of these. Fill in the brackets.

1

Social captions

"Write 3 captions for [platform] about [topic]. Open with a specific moment, not a question. Under [60] words. End with this call to action: [CTA]."

2

Hooks that are not clickbait

"Give me 10 opening lines for a post about [topic]. Five should state a specific number or fact. Five should name a mistake my audience makes. No questions, no 'imagine if'."

3

Turn one idea into ten posts

"Here is one idea: [paste idea]. Break it into 10 separate posts, each covering one point only. For each, give me the angle in one line. Do not write the posts yet."

4

Repurpose a long piece

"Here is a [blog post / talk / call transcript]: [paste]. Pull out the 5 most quotable lines and turn each into a short post in my voice."

5

Ad copy variations

"Write 5 versions of an ad for [product] aimed at [audience]. Each one leads with a different angle: cost, time, risk, status, and frustration. Under 30 words each."

6

Email that gets opened

"Write a [150] word email to [audience] about [topic]. First line must be about them, not me. One idea only. One clear next step at the end. Give me 5 subject lines separately."

7

Rewrite in your voice

"Rewrite this so it matches my voice brief. Keep the facts identical. Cut any sentence that does not add information: [paste text]."

8

Landing page section

"Write the [hero / benefits / FAQ] section for a page selling [offer] to [audience]. Lead with what they get, not what it is. Plain words, no marketing language."

9

Comment and reply drafts

"Someone commented this on my post: [paste]. Write 3 replies in my voice: one helpful, one that asks a genuine question, one that is short and warm."

10

Competitor gap check

"Here are 5 posts from a competitor: [paste]. What topics are they covering that I am not, and what are they saying badly that I could say better?"

11

Content from customer words

"Here are real customer messages and reviews: [paste]. Pull out the exact phrases they use to describe the problem, then write 5 posts using their words, not mine."

12

Kill the AI tells

"Read this and remove anything that sounds AI written: no em-dashes, no 'in today's world', no 'it's not just X, it's Y', no three item lists for rhythm. Keep my meaning: [paste]."

Save your winners: start a note called "My Marketing Prompts." Every time one gives you something you would actually post, save the exact wording. In a month you have a prompt library nobody can copy, because it is built on your voice.
Section 5 / The Calendar

Build a two week calendar in 30 minutes

Do these five steps in order, in one sitting. You end with 10 posts drafted and scheduled.

1Pick three themes. Not thirty topics. Three things you want to be known for this month. Everything you post ladders up to one of them.
2Ask for angles, not posts. Use prompt 3 above on each theme. You get 30 one line angles. Delete the boring ones. Keep 10.
3Draft in one batch. Feed the 10 angles back in with your voice brief and prompt 1. Ask for one draft each, all in one reply.
4Edit like a human. Read each one out loud. Cut the first sentence of most of them. Add one specific detail only you would know.
5Schedule and note what worked. After two weeks, paste your top three and bottom three back in and ask what the winners had in common. That answer shapes the next batch.
WeekThemePost types
Week 1The problem your audience has2 short lessons, 1 mistake post, 1 customer story, 1 behind the scenes
Week 2How you solve it2 how-to posts, 1 proof or result, 1 myth you disagree with, 1 clear offer
The rule that keeps this honest: AI drafts, you decide. If you would not say it out loud to a customer, it does not go out.
Section 6 / Safety Rails

Five rules that keep the brand yours

1Never publish a first draft. AI gets you to 70 percent in seconds. The last 30 percent is the part people recognise as you.
2Never let AI invent a number. Results, percentages, client outcomes, and reviews come from your records, not from a model. A made up stat is the fastest way to lose trust.
3Do not paste unreleased or confidential work. Campaign plans, client names, and pricing you have not published stay out of the chat unless you are on a paid plan with data controls you have checked.
4Check claims about other brands. If a draft says a competitor does something, verify it before it goes near a public post.
5Keep one thing AI never touches. Pick something, usually your personal posts or customer replies, and always write those yourself. It keeps the human signal strong everywhere else.

Take it further

Doing this for yourself takes an afternoon. Doing it across a whole marketing team, with shared prompt libraries and a voice brief everyone actually uses, is what our Marketing & Social track is for.
